  11. this is nothing new. I remember many many years ago when I went to OSOUT , recruits that did not meet height weight standards, could not do a few push ups, speak English or have a GED went to a type of pre basic to work on their deficiencies or language skills. I remember seeing them marching to the chow hall during reception. I am sure some of those recruits turned out to be great Soldiers.

  25. You should take a look at a website called ‘the Tesla takedown’. The woman who run this website is the organisation behind these attacks on Tesla dealerships. I watched her bragged about it in an interview. I’m not in the US so I don’t know which agency needs this information, I’m sure they probably already know about it. But I just wanted to put it out there just in case she’s not on anyone’s radar. She needs to be accountable for the damage she’s caused.

  32. I think another big one are the lies, but also some major bigotry within the ranks I don't think gets discussed enough. With the lies the government has given regarding the GWOT, and Gulf war, then the War in Afghanistan as well. You have many coming back wondering why they were even there in the first place. You had to get a freaking comedian to get policies to pass so vets who suffered from the burn pits to get proper treatment. And don't get started on Agent Orange in Nam. When you meet an actually victim of it, makes you wanna consider your options in life. Do I really need to talk about the culture post military back into civilian life?

  49. Drones would be a great way to medivac none critical on a regular basis as well. From what I understand from a special on combat medics, none critical injuries like broken arms would not get a helicopter. They would have to bounce around in whatever they could find and eventually make their way to the hospital.

  50. I believe Dragon Skin lives on because it was a notorious political ploy. I have known of many service members whose lives were saved by good old boring SAPI plates. If you look at the old videos, they are all attacking the administration of the time for not adopting dragon skin right away. This is not to say the armor is ineffective. It would be interesting to see its performance revisited. But it was very much a shock campaign, and it would serve to stoke foolish conspiracy theory nonsense even today. “Oh well of course it makes sense that they didn’t give our troops the best.” I don’t have to say anything to defend the evils of the military industrial machine. But again, many lives were saved by boring old SAPIs. War is dangerous. Imagine that.
