This channel is criminally underrated

How the f*** does this video have so few views? It's one of the best history videos I've ever seen, and with what's happening in China right now, I think Fukuyama is more and more right!
12
Watching this after Assad ran away to Russia
12
Bro the fuckin mustache I’m dead
12
Incredible video, looking forward to your future work

Another great video

That being said, he's still a D.U.I. hire whose basic qualification was that Trump saw Hegseth praising him on Fox Weekend. The pettiness of removing General Milley's security clearance, security detail (even though he is still on a foreign hit list) and even his portrait from the walls of the Pentagon tells you all you need to know about how much Hegseth cares about the military. As for reaching the rank of Major, there are plenty of officers, NCOs and rank and file that will tell you that some of the most useless officers they've ever had the displeasure to serve under have been Majors.

3:40 - holy moly, you got it right! Courts Martial, not Court Martials.

What a fascinating way to describe links in society. Vertical and horizontal. The two disaster's highlight how both are needed in these kinds of situations. Democracies can handle these things better because those in charge are accountable to the people they serve. If they fail their people (vertical tie) they will likely vote against them in the next election. Also yes! Most certainly a video about Japan's democracy. I've heard a bit about Japan is effectively a 1 party state, yet is one of the best democracies around the world. At face value those two things would seemingly contradict each other.

This is the kind of political history I would never learn about if it wasn't for you guys. Love this channel. Can't wait to give a snobby lecture about Japanese politics to my friends in a bar.

"Because it was openness, not closedness that would win the race for the bomb." Yeah no shit, that's why he was called Oppenheimer, not Closedheimer.

Your content is top notch. Great analysis. Definitely a gem and a win for humanity.

A fascinating story of resistance by the Maori. Even though they ultimately were defeated by the British their fight was not ultimately in vain. In the grand scheme of things they got a better deal than many other native peoples. Sure there is still a lot of room for improvement, but there is hope that things will improve for them.

With every video, the animations get better and better. I'm constantly impressed with the work you put into your videos and the thoroughness and attention to detail. Hope you continue to get more views and subscribers! Also: the new music composed for your videos is great :)

Wow, this video is incredibly well made. I was just wondering about this topic and bob’s your uncle, spectacles came up with another great video💯

Such an underrated channel!!!!

What a wonderful video. I’m researching for a video on assassins, and I’ve been interested in the usage of assassination as a political tool in pre-war Japan. This was a wonderful and deep primer before I start reading on it!

oh my god a video about ireland and a reference to archer, new favourite channel

This documentary may be one of the strongest and most compelling stories I’ve seen on YouTube. Bravo.

Spectacles, Nexpo, fern, lemmino and Imperial are creating pieces of art for us to watch for free. The level of content is unrivalled by standard tv from those 5 and many more. A collab of those 5 would be an insaneeeeee series/video
9
Really love the way this video is put together
9
This makes me wonder if the US would be in a similair state, were it not for the strong federalist reconciliation after the civil war that applied constitutional rights to state law
9
You lot are the coolest geopol channel on YouTube, bar none. Keep cracking on, please 😁💪🏼
9
You have a great voice for narration, Sir. Excellent video, too.

just saw the SY without knowing what it was....Holy moly, they outright say the things in the video. Its insane. I was literally sitting in the theatre thinking wow I'm watching a cult with really good dancers.
9
Excellent video as always

Algorithm gods!! Hear my plea!!! Help me get this man to trending with content he makes for free!!! \o/

Genuinely loved and appreciated this video. Will probably rewatch it time and again, since Falun Gong practitioners have been and continue to be a presence in my local area of Toronto. Glad my first impressions were always correct in that it was some type of cult thing, but it's great to actually have some info on it. MUCH more unhinged than I expected. Maybe I should ask the elderly woman handing out pamphlets if invisibility is still up for grabs next time.

I like your work, but this one probably won't do as well as others, for a couple reasons. Firstly, after watching the full video, it didn't deliver on the promise of its title. It skipped around in time, and never got to the modern era, or explained the obsession aspect. Also, the sponsorship portion, while well executed, was at least 50% longer than it needed to be.

Thanks!

What about Darius III? He let his people get crushed by Alexander. Doesn't he deserve an honorable mention?
8
Irishman here 🇮🇪👋 this is completely irrelevant to the video, but whatever- ill never forget meeting and dancing with/kissing this absolutely beautiful Estonian girl i met in a bar one night and i regret mever getting her mobile number.. To this day the only Estonian person ive ever met so my impression of Estonia has always been top! This video seems to cement my regret now 😅😂

A different kind of video but very interesting, wouldn’t mind more videos like this.

Another great video! But maybe do one on a positive aspect/story from New Zealand? It can't be all bad over there, right?

I held do much hope for South Africa, an astonishingly beautiful country when Mandela was released and he became the head of state. I had hoped SA would serve as a a beacon of democracy and effective governance in Africa. All that has been dashed, What we see is tragic decline with its nadir during Zuma's term - a feckless, super corrupt thug; who allowed the entire state apparatus to be taken over by a gang of brothers from a half-arsed village in India. Now, a head of state, "exonerted" after million of Dollars were found stuffed in furniture. Is there any hope? Alas not with the ANC dominant.

Henson picked the right fuckin' dude holy shit that ad transition was maximum effort.
7
I blame P2

Fantastic storytelling

The no military one is definitely Costa Rica, it's the only central american country without military.
7
Really interesting stuff! Excited to see more NZ videos
7
I think the distinction they were making is that it was the first execution as exercise of British jurisprudence rather than the first time it was used as punishment in accordance with local custom (which I’m ignorant of), hence the event’s significance in relation to the sovereignty dispute.
7
This is shaping up to be my new favorite channel! Keep up the good work
7
