If you are wo dering about the V10 MX-5, we filmed an update last week that will be coming out in the near future 👍 as I said in our garage round-up last year, the car itself has been restored to be factory fresh (which you will see soon), and there's a new update on the engine which has proved very tricky. Now having him on drive tribe, hammon and his daughter, May with some randomness, it's nice to see Mike and the crew keeping the spirit of "top gear" (Hammond, Clarkson and may personality and energy) alive. The new top gear never captured the energy as well as drive tribe is doing

  31. Didn't know this about Alex's background and honestly it isn't that surprising. You can tell he's time served over the other big tubers. He can really tell a story. So glad to see his channel do well off his own feet. Though he's not quite the professional that is Richard Hammond. He could really make a series out of himself and his daughter doing roadtrip car reviews. Also, Imagine being so famous and still being down to earth. What a treasure of a human.

  34. There is an underrated dynamic with Richard and Mike. Their personalities have a certain similarity that gives the impression this could be a generational hand-off in the making, but nobody seems to be working too hard to over-sell that. While there will obviously never be anything to match "the trio" again (no matter how many times that formula gets beaten again and again) this opens up a new dynamic that is at once familiar and refreshing. I can see a real possibility that Mike emerges as a star in his own right. Here's to the ongoing success and evolution of the rebooted Drivetribe.
