You also have to mention that the older organisations in EVE over the years have accumulated a shitton of wealth, so it wasn't really a problem :D
Well, probably financing 400 titans welp is, but, smaller-scale it's not that much, and players are willing to lose it.
The aspect of these mega-corporations - or alliances, is interesting because -
they have to provide interesting content to keep most of their trigger happy people around
yet at the same time, if they provide too much, the krabs will burn out and slowly stop attending the fleets
at the same time, if they don't provide, either people will leave, or your people will become more and more industry oriented and you'll continue to attract industrialists only
yet if you do not do it enough, your space isn't secure
So the incentives to go to war are a bit different than in real life - if you don't go to war, you lose people and their interest, this is still very much an economy of enjoyment - less of prosperity, but important too, very important
Also, low scale/covert ops/black ops - like in real life are pretty cheap and can provide huge turmoil in enemies space, you don't even need to go to war to do that regularly
So, it's like Ancapistan, except you have still Daddy CCP, and you're at a perma-state of war with neutral to you people :D, where breaking the NAP would be just arriving in someone's space as a hostile or neutral.

One of the best changes I ever did, for my mental health, was change jobs.
I had been working at an IT call center. 10 hour shifts, bad pay, and miserable conditions. At the end of the day I'd log off the call switch and desktop, and stare at a blank screen, having accomplished nothing I could look at.
Now, im using the equipment operating skills I learned in my time as an Army Reservist, working at a literal gold mine. At the end of the day I can see physical changes to the world around me, that I did.
I know what the end goal is, and I can see progress towards it.
Sure, shifts are now longer for me, 12.5 hour shifts, and I'm just as isolated, alone in a dozer cab as opposed to alone in a cubicle, but for me, the sense of accomplishment makes this life sustainable.

No, their products are not cheap. At least not here in Europe, where there are far cheaper options. Also the problem is selling. There is none. When you are going to meet MLMer, it is never about the products, but the system. Actually after first or second meeting you hardly know what they are selling, but you are full of Kiyosaki and rag to riches stories. There was a research among the members and vast majority became members to do a business and not just to buy from themselves. Of course they ended mostly buying from themselves, as there is hardly any demand for overpriced no name products. But it is not the choice of those freshly recruited, it is where they ended up with this opportunity. Actually after Covid outbreak Amway increased the prices of many products here significantly. Also in Amway you have some products which you can dilute etc., but their espring or pans and pots, it is easily 10 times overpriced to regular Europe brands. And you can not dilute a pot... Also the quality is quite an issue. Have you read the ingredients of their products? For example their toothpaste has some artificial colourants in it. Which are linked to cancers and believe should not be even distributed in EU. And again, price is 10 times of the regular Colgate product. And you completely left out the tool scam out of the video. This motivational pseudoreligious gatherings are organised by the club of higher pins and this is where they make real money. With Covid they do it on Zoom now charging 300 - 400 dollars per weekend online motivational session, with literally 0 costs to organize it. So if you meet your products quota monthly and buy all the tickets for these meetings, losses can be significant... And the sales to non participants in the scheme are almost non existent. Fun fact is, in my country, there are something like 30k registered members, but their annual sales are below one Tesco hypermarket store with 100-150 employees. It would be really hard to find some less effective product selling organisation.

Peter Gibbons: The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.
Bob Porter: Don't... don't care?
Peter Gibbons: It's a problem of motivation, all right? Now if I work my ass off and Initech ships a few extra units, I don't see another dime; so where's the motivation? And here's something else, Bob: I have eight different bosses right now.
Bob Slydell: I beg your pardon?
Peter Gibbons: Eight bosses.
Bob Slydell: Eight?
Peter Gibbons: Eight, Bob. So that means that when I make a mistake, I have eight different people coming by to tell me about it. That's my only real motivation is not to be hassled; that, and the fear of losing my job. But you know, Bob, that will only make someone work just hard enough not to get fired. ”

Well, I’m here cause you asked me to be here.
As an eve player, I don’t want RMT. Eve isn’t just a game, at least not for me. Eve is one of those things that once you get a foothold into it? You’re sorta elite among other gamers just due to the fact that eve is honestly just a reflection of yourself, it becomes a lifestyle, the people who enjoy eve plan their IRL events around eve and their goals inside of it.
RMT is just going to bring about an influx of horrible people only doing things to earn a dollar, at that point eve just becomes a job.
I understand that this is an economics channel, so, this next tidbit might not be viable in your content, but if CCP want’s to stay afloat, things need to change.
Firstly, CCP needs to discover a way to incentivize PVP in a way that retains value, but doesn’t overpower in success so we don’t end up with the imperium dorks who are too afraid to bust out the big guns and pop out some content to keep players invested.
Secondly, we need more ships that upset the balance of things in later game that are really really hard to get, but are also beatable by the attacking force. Right now in eve, when I see a titan on grid? I don’t feel scared, everybody and their dog has a titan, I’ll just call uncle Jim and he’ll roll up on grid with 5 more titans and a bigger dick to steamroll my opposition.
I am fine with scarcity, honestly I really don’t mind my ships being worth so much more, because that in itself forces me to think about what it is that I’m doing before undocking.
I live in nullsec, and I’m right off a bunch of pipeline systems and it’s pathetic the amount of players not floating around trying to get kills, now, granted we are coming out of the restrictive phases of the pandemic so people will be reaching back out into real life again, so, I think the changes they just made should have been done this upcoming winter when players are more active as they’re trying to stay out of the cold. They picked a very very bad time to release the content they did, and there was no build up to prepare players for the entire shift they just shoved down our throats.
Even in its dilapidated state right now, I love eve. It has helped me through some of the hardest times of my life, and it’s style of game play has helped me learn how to think differently in my real life as well as in game. Our biggest issue right now as a player base is CCP and it’s over nerfing of important assets.
Ultimately, if we the players could find a way to reignite the fires of war, and I can see eve beginning to recover. But, until TEST and GOONS pull their thumbs out of their buttholes and decide to put their money where there mouth is, I think we’ll be in for a loooooooooooong depression.
Edit: also fuck you for making this your last one, new players in eve would love to have someone explain the economics of eve in a way where they can learn how to appreciate their assets. These videos have the potential to stop new players from getting ripped off by Jita dickwads who do nothing but scam their way to the top. To you these are just videos about video games, but, to a new player this is like gospel. I say do your usual content, but also keep doing eve stuff on the side for newer players. Content like this is what keeps eve afloat, you’re directly influencing player counts going forward with this exposure. You started this, you might as well run with it until the bitter end. We can’t rely on CCP alone to fix what’s broken. People like you can help people like me fix what needs to be fixed.
