  1. Looked accurate. I first went to Benidorm with 3 mates for my stag holiday, aged 40-something. We did the lads thing, got drunk, got robbed, stayed in a crap hotel, had drunk conversations with Germans and google-translate. A couple of years later my wife suggested going there to decide if she liked it. We stayed in a slightly less grotty hotel, did the daytime things, loved it. If we ever move to Spain it would be somewhere within driving distance of Benidorm, but never in it!

  2. Lived in Launston in Cornwall while doing an access course at Camborne college. Found out it was quite a depressing area for some people. Not much work out of the Tourist season and what jobs there are , low wages. This was 2003 so it has got loads worse, with the Elite Government following the WEF narrative. Good people the Cornish hope things get better for you all.

  6. Hi Wendall, great video showing the other side of Cornwall, the poverty which you see in some of the inland towns, Camborne and Redruth being one of the poorest areas in Europe. It's an area I'm actually extremely fond of, it's a fantastic area to explore; Heartlands is a great place to visit, and it's free, the Great Flat Lode trail is a wonderful walk around Carn Brea, showing some of the most impressive mining sites in Britain. Carn Brea itself is well worth exploring, the mines at Pool, which are National Trust-owned museums of mining. There's also the wonderful Moseley Museum, just outside Redruth - free entry, run by dedicated volunteers, but not often open. The towns themselves are fascinating too, Redruth in particular has some amazing buildings. I wish more tourists would discover its treasures. Great to hear about the sense of community there and how people are coping and helping others. Many thanks.

It's an utter scandal that such a rich country as ours has so much poverty and destitution, it's inexcusable. A country should be judged by how it treats its most vulnerable. I think the quality of your video-making just gets better and better, long may it continue.

  14. A lot more Brits need to watch this. I'm 48 years old and grew up in England, aware of what was going on in NI and Belfast but with no knowledge of why. My ignorance continued to this day so I'm so glad this video has educated me. Hopefully one day there will be no need for a wall and both communities can live in harmony. Thanks Wendall.

I think your video shows (to me at least) that hard times are not conducive with bad behaviour, I think that’s controlled in the home, quite a respectable place with genuinely nice and open people, thanks Oli 👍🏻

  20. As a german i'm a bit confused to see all the people drinking beer on a christmas market. In Germany we drink glühwein ( mulled wine) in the winter season. Christmas markets here start normally at the end of november. Loved to hear you speak german. Great content as always!

Despite the bad press about Rochdale it is generally a great community to live in with fantastic places to visit and unfortunately sometimes you realise what you had until you leave.

I want to move to Cornwall in about 4 years time, I’m saving so hard in order to buy a place with a smaller mortgage so o can just get a job working in a shop or something rather than being in corporate . I want my kids to have a nice life and I can’t think of anything better than leaving London for Cornwall - hope my dream comes true 🙏🏻

  44. I'm so shocked by this. I used to live in Newquay and work in Truro as a teenager. I was lucky enough to work in the Civil Service. It would be nice for places like Cambourne to become like Todmorden where locals grow food in public places for people to share.
