Welch Labs! Welcome back man!!
14
Thank you for sharing!
14
That was an awesome explanation. Thank you!
14
Fantastic video, excited for part two!!
13
Great job! One thing you might consider - releasing one bigger video rather than many smaller ones. I think it could be better with YT algorithm.
11
@WelchLabsVideo I really enjoyed the presentation and pacing. Your team all did an excellent job, many thanks 👍🌞
11
5:12 Oh shit! Philippines will get a total eclipse 18 years later? Now that is truly a rare solar eclipse!
10
Really clear graphics and story of the logic.
10
Thank you so much for this presentation
10
Highest quality as always, thanks for the video that brings this important topic in such approachable way.
9
Quite possibly one of the best videos I've ever seen on this topic
8
We used 4-figure tables in highschool. Had logs, sin/cos/tan and antilog etc. Good memories.
8
Nice. Thanks for the topic.
8
i cant expres how much i love this chanel it teaches me so much
7
Uh.... I've... I've NEVER realized this visualisation despite working with logarithms all the time. This intuitive relation was lost when the slide rule went out of fashion.
7
Dude, nice work, thanks
7
Watching this two weeks into a complex analysis course would add do much motivation
7
This video is everything I wish the rest of YouTube was - your delivery is so succinct and concise - really well made I loved it
6
Really high quality, thanks.
6
missed your explanations. Appreciate your great work
6
I was expecting a Dwayne Johnson documentary, but I was not disappointed.
6
Very cool to learn that slide rules rely on logarithms, I didn't realize that. I knew about log tables but I didn't realize that the slide rule itself was an embodiment of this "easier calculation" quality of logarithms. :)
6
Your chart is absolutely gorgeous!! Bravo 👏👏
6
hoping south Texas skys stay clear 😆
6
Thank you.😊
6
This is an amazing video! The animations and explanations made it so much easier to understand. I like the step by step approach. Thank you!
5
honestly, they should teach slide rules in school.
5
I absolutely loved this two part video series, thank you for your work (and YouTube for the recommendation)
5
This is fascinating
5
Thank you so much for these two videos on Kepler's work. I really appreciate the effort you put in these videos. I loved them. I would love you made third one on the Newton's law of gravity
5
This video is mindblowing on so many levels! It's also incredibly clear and easy to follow especially for such a demanding topic. Instant like and follow. Thank you for your work!
5
I love these videos for the physics (that I barely get) and the history - it's all a human endeavour. The example presented @12:28 through 16:40 is especially informative - and I was even ahead it for some parts (minor miracle).
4
Excellent video. Very interesting, informative and worthwhile video.
4
This series about Kepler is so beautifully done! Thank you very much 😊
4
you are back!!!!
4
My god, this finally nails quantum mechanics "weirdness" to me 😂 thank you for the fantastic video!
4
Awesome video, I always wanted to understand this particularity
4
Congratulations on the laborious production of this amazing video. Looking forward to the sequel on Sir Isaac Newton
4
What a wonderful video about a great scientific story! Thanks for all the passion you spent for this video. I especially liked the overlay of the historic image and your pencil and circle construction. I really hope you do more of this videos, I really appreciate everyone of them.
4
Very interesting, i love to learn more about AI and especially LLMs, such an ailien world that seems to have some of the same features as the brain, just implemented differently
4
Absolutely amazing animation and explanation. Every video of yours have been of extreme quality and I can only thank you for making them.

Thank you for sharing this. I am also commenting to help your brilliant channel with the algorithm so that more people see it.

Good job Welch. Thanks
3
i am so happy you made another video

This is an AMAZING video. I’ve only recently began learning this just this past weekend learning about abliteration—which is the sort of crazy surgery I’ve wanted to play with for such a long time. I just learned about the residual stream and you have helped me understand it SO much better.
3
Thank so much for this. I'm an astrophysicist and I can tell you that this kind of outreach is a must need. Very well done and very well explained. Kepler was an outstanding figure and getting to know the reasoning behind his archivement is beautiful.
3
Somewhat sad that these figures have previously been calculated. Would have like to take a stab at computing them by hand. That being said, I appreciate the monumental efforts of past generations to accelerate our calculations. Leading us to future questions and constructs.
3
Extremely well explained. Understood it all intuitively due to the high quality of the video.
3
Such a gem! Thank you!
