I got a Pasmo back in 2017 and a Suica in 2018 - was a good choice to keep them then :D

Anyone can tell me where is the best place to exchange for money

Hi Ono! Thank you very much for this video!! I wanted to ask you if you can do a video of what SIM card is the best to use when traveling to Japan? I do not want to buy one at the airport since I've seen is expensive. However, I do not know which one to buy when I go to some store in the center of Tokyo. I am worried about the speed of the internet. Thanksss!

Thank you. This information is incredible.

Can you please cover what medicines are not allowed to bring to Japan? Thank you!😊

Of all the tourist tip Japan videos, this is by far the best one. Budgeting well is the first step to enjoying ANY vacation!

I am from Canada and I can't handle the temperatures in Japan during the summer season. May and November are my favorite months to visit. You are spot on about where to stay in Tokyo. On my first trip, I stayed at APA Kabukicho and if I didn't bring earplugs with me, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Same goes for Korea

Thank you for sharing. Very informative.

I've been watching some of these trip related videos and yours is by far the most useful. All the information provided makes sense and helps us better plan our trip. I hope to visit your country soon. Thank you so much. Best of luck in all your endeavors.

I definitly need to try the app Japan Travel for my next visit to Japan!

At 5:03 there are some nice views of Budapest, Hungary. (in black and white).

One issue with the “convenience stores cost more” point is that as a tourist, you have a very limited amount of time in Japan. Even if it only added 10-15 minutes to a trip to go to a grocery store, you’d still end up wasting time you could be using to see more of the country, all to save a few cents

Thanks 😊

99% of times your bank offers better exchange rates than these counters. So almost all the time it's better to withdraw Yen or pay with your card in Yen and let your own bank do the currency exchange. The best option is to use something like Wise or Revolut (or similar), which have way better rates and minimal fees. Exchange counters are expensive and outdated.

Great video! Would like to visit Osaka one day! Thanks for sharing!

By the way, you don't have to go to the Skytree deck to get a great view over Tokyo. You can also e.g. go to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building for free.
2
I find your video to be click bait.
2
Thank you very much. Most helpful video and very well made and presented. I’ve subscribed. Xx

Very helpful! Thank you for this great video!

I'm glad you didn't include the area where I always stay. Steer the crowds away.

Found your channel today, and subscribed, you make helpful videos! One thing though: please do not use only Fahrenheit and mph for temperature and speed. Not all your viewers are from the U.S. 😊

I live in QLD Australia so the heat should be fine I use to put insulation in roofs do that on a day that is 38c or 100f plus then make it a black roof low pitch the roof cavity can exceed 60c or 140f if you take a phone up there it will turn off in less then 5 minuets from to much heat on the plus side when you climb out 40c or 104f feels like AC

I agree with #10 vending machines, especially for long stays, but let me ask you this. Where else can you find Asahi Craft Cola? I never found it anywhere else, and local konbini workers asked ME to share with them instead when I tried asking around to find it in 2024..
2
Thank you for all the information . A tourist from Malsysia.
2
Thank so much ! I will travel March 2025 🎉

Hi Ono how are you well it's nice I think that airline Is the cheap i was wondering if travel from Tokyo haneda to Beijing or Shanghai it might be a bit complicated when it's about their checking in system and you have to call their headquarters in Beijing i hopefully it won't happen to me when i planning to travel to China from Japan or from the US have a nice day in China
2
What I’ve done when I need change and such I’ve just gone to 7/11 with my 10000 yen bill and bought something cheap. It’ll give you lots of change that way, however idk if there is a better way.
2
Great videos on your channel ! Would you recommend the JR pass if we plan to visit Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka only ?
