When recording -- look for something called a Mono mix toggle or Audio Mux -- this will send your Mono Mic Audio to both L/R channels so its not only coming through 1 ear. you got the "Stereo" audio from the documentary because the Source was for both L/R "Stereo" so it works but I think your mic was missing that tiny setting needed. I dont know what you are using to record so hopefully the above helps -- great channel great head on shoulders. More voices like this hopefully helps more of the youth wake up.
