  1. I appreciate the corrections around the new currencies being discussed - definitely an oversight on the part of my own video. To clarify, I make no attempt to predict whether the US will become MORE or LESS prominent in global trade (certainly, the trend points to a slow increase in alternatives to the US dollar), nor do I attempt to ascertain what SHOULD happen globally (all the power to economies to take more control over their finances). I do, however, argue that the trend is likely to be more moderate than many are suggesting, and similarly highlight that such a trend does not ensure the collapse of the US dollar within our lifetime - the video was targeted at the alarmist videos looking to spin this trend into a bull case for gold/bitcoin (something I'm sure we'd both agree is a little predatory). Time will tell what happens - I don't put much stock into predictions, so happy to concede if we DO see rapid de-dollarization. Thanks for the well-thought-out contribution to the conversation. đź‘Ť
