Yeah, new york. You sent me a toll charge when I didn't have the truck and turned in my old tag for the truck. When the tag showed up in new york on a dodge like the one I had. But the truck went to scrap because I'm the one to take it there. I'm also the one to turn in the tag for that truck. But new york send a toll charge to my old tag that I reside in Florida. Smh. 😅 Obviously I did not pay it but did contact the dmv here in Florida and new york. And I had proof it wasn't me because I drove semi at the time and had my log book that is federal regulation to prove I was not in new york at the time of picture. It blew my mind when I got new york mail in my Florida mailbox. Lol

DELAWARE MENTIONED. HELL YEAH, BROTHER.

I’ve always been fascinated by Sutro Bath and Adolph Sutro himself. Thanks for the great video!

My mom used to work for patrick engineering and would tell me all the tunnels and stuff in the city. I love the pedwalk connected to TJ Maxx that leads to Randolph Street Station

That was a fantastic video! I'm from Tucson, Arizona and I remember going to lake Havasu with my parents as a kid when my dad told me that was the London bridge. And explain to me that each piece was marked and sent over a piece by piece. Always astonished me as a kid! I've wanted to hear that story for a long time and I always thought that that bridge was the bridge that the song was about. So I appreciate the update and information. I also had no idea about The Bridges History in the London bombing nor about the lamppost from the Battle of Waterloo. All super fascinating and very cool!

Please do videos on other little-known built-over streets, like Cow Path and Carroll Avenue.

Detroit is my hometown, and I'll always brag about it, detroiters are tough people, we hang in there and one day my city will shine again...

There are 4 surviving Liberty Ships not 2

You’re a lucky man Ryan to be able to spend so much time exploring this castle. This is my favorite episode so far. I think I’m going to subscribe to your Patreon so I can see more.

Thank you Ryan Socash for keeping the past alive....🙂

Great video

Very cool, hope they find a use for it

Thank you for the history! I remember the ice skating rink and artifacts housed upstairs - more recently we walked/climbed the ruins and nearby caves & trails (Lands End) - the improvements are amazing. Just a note- you mentioned the Sutro Egyptian Exhibit is at San Francisco State University (Museum Studies). SFSU is a part of the California State University Systems, however, the image shown in the video was of the University of San Francisco (a Jesuit university). I appreciate the research and informative work! Will check out the other videos. Best!

Hello from Kansas 🇺🇲

Big fan. First time sending a hello & huge thanks from Plano, ILLinois.

Phenomenal video. When I was a kid, I remember riding those trains in New Jersey between Hoboken and Newark, both with epic train terminals that have been fully restored. Some of the rail cars were still emblazoned with the “Pennsylvania” livery.

Not even a mention of the most important history.... There's something about major nude beaches, that always seems to cause them to have conflicts over piping plovers and least terns. Somehow adjacent military areas, or textile fetishist beaches, rarely seem to have those same birds needing protection from larger and more invasive beach user groups.

This was fascinating. Who knew? Nevertheless, Rochester, Syracuse and other cities up there are hopeless dumps.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful videos you offer. I have learned so much.

A superb job, Ryan. Thank you.

I have to say, i think this was my favorite of all your videos. The social cause and impacts are part of the telling of history in the real world that certain elements want to whitewash as if it’s just a myth. Unfortunately you’re likely to lose subscribers.

Wow. I find it very funny that this video just randomly popped up in my feed just now. I was walking through my neighborhood today and remebered there was a tunnel nearby. I decided to make my way towards it realized it had been completely covered up. Not a single trace left, except a manhole. It was located on 52nd st and Vermont Ave. in South L.A. I do, however, remember using them as a child in the Eagle Rock/Highland Park curca 1980. Really enjoyed this video.

Awesome video. I wasn't aware that there was ever a LaSalle St. tunnel. i wonder if any of the underground walkways have closed off access to this tunnel.

Thank u bro for doing Seattle where I live

Thanks Ryan for another information I have never heard of, I think I will now start calling you Professor SoCash, I am in my 70's so by the end of my time left I might get my first degree in," IT'S HISTORY"...

Good stuff

Hey Ryan. I am a New Jersian. Can you do a segment on the Lackawanna Cut?

The High Line Park is mentioned a fair amount in a great zombie book series called The City by Sarah Lyons Fleming. The main characters in one part us it to get around and avoid zombies. We’ll worth reading.

Makes me proud to live in Pennsylvania

Part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike opened in 1940. The rest wasn't completed until 1956. The NJTP mainline was entirely completed in 1951.

These are not just buildings, they are pieces of art. I hope we preserve them as long as we can.

Amazing channel, a new favorite! Incredibly well done and packed full of knowledge!

Thank you for this awesome video!...Great job setting the historical context for the Carbide & Carbon Building!!...Amazing that the Jewelers Building at 35E Wacker is just a 3 minute walk away…this beautiful 1925 building figures prominently in Chicago’s parking garage history and warrants IT’S HISTORY attention!!!

Awesome video. Lots of interesting information. 👍🏾

My father was assigned here 1950 to 1951. He was in the communications branch.

The wood was recovered and cut into the most amazingly durable flooring you could ever hope for. Every fiber of the wood is saturated with salt so it's as hard as rock.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. As a History buff and lover of all History, our country, and the long long hard fought road that led us to where we are today. Pandemic and all. 😷

My mom was a stenographer at Oakland's Western Pacific coach yard. When I was about 10, I got to ride the Zephyr out of the yard and through the train wash in a Vista Dome car and went on to Stockton where I got off, and rode back in a WP truck. I lived in East Oakland near the main line and could watch the Zephyr return every evening.
