  2. The Fine Arts Building in Chicago still has elevator operators! (At least, up until 1-2 years ago. I used to take voice classes there, but I haven't been there in a while.) It's a gorgeous old building and the whole thing is very quaint. But holy cow, I don't know how they can stand it. The elevators are tiny, get super crowded at times, and there's no AC in the building. It's like an oven. I'm guessing they only do a few hours at a time. No way someone could stand in there 8 hours a day. Thankfully, I think it's only 10 floors.
