Oh, this gives me a bit of hope! I wish I could have a pet, but I am very allergic to both dogs & cats. I've had hamsters in the past. But they only live a few years and I cannot endure the sadness of having to bury them anymore.

@bunnyluv2535 Wow, I posted a response and it's gone. I don't know what is up with yt the past couple of days. My comments keep being deleted, even on an entirely non controvertible topic as this. I can't recreate all of that. Thanks for the suggestion. I would be open to them, if I could spend time with one and see how I would feel.

Oh, I wish I knew someone who has one of the cats! I could spend a day with them and see how they affect my allergies. How are they as far as shedding, though? Even if I was not allergic, I still would not care for my clothes and furniture constantly covered in hair. Aw, she says the clearest "meow!" I've ever heard.

@bunnyluv2535 @bunnyluv2535 I would be open to it, but I don't have experience with them. I need to bug all my friends to get all these types of animals so I can hang out with them and see how they affect me. LOL! I do know ferrets are OUT. Years ago the neighbor kids got one and came over to show me. Cutest little critter I'd ever seen! But I immediately started wheezing and choking. I have thought of guinea pigs. But from what I've read, you need more than one (they are social animals) and they also eat a lot of hay, which also makes me wheeze and choke. Sigh. I'll have to keep searching. It would be nice to have a pet before I get too old to care for one!
