  1. I'm 55. I always swore I'd never be one of these old people who hate / don't know modern music. I did pretty well up until my 40s. I could still relate to my younger nieces and what they were into. But honestly, I just can't take what passes for music these days.

  5. "Country music" of today (and the past few decades) is not country music. It's that fake pop-y country music. I can't stand most of it. "Country music" used to be people like Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, etc.
