  1. It would have been helpful to know why most of these people are in jail. Have they committed actual crimes? Or are they in jail for simply speaking something that the authorities disagreed with? Were they imprisoned unjustly for some other reason? Those who have committed actual crimes deserve to be in jail and face the penalty for their crimes. For these it seems they receive better living conditions than many of the law-abiding citizens. And that is not right.
