  11. Well, that was depressing. I don't know if it's this channel or somewhere else, but I remember hearing Whittaker's performance described as somebody watching David Tennant's performance and trying to imitate it... badly. So badly. That's the vibe I got here. Plus, I hate the "main character in mortal peril" plot routine when it comes to scifi / fantasy. There's never any tension because we KNOW they can always be brought back somehow. Doubly so in this show. So why even go there again, especially when it's not even time yet for regeneration? I'm a New Who convert. But maybe I need to just watch Classic Who as a palate cleanser.

  16. I hung on for Capaldi. I liked him, but I swear, I could not follow the storylines for anything. I found myself fast forwarding through eps sometimes. I cannot bear this Doctor Impersonator woman. I just can't. It's like all she ever did was watch David Tennant and tries to imitate his performances, but badly.
