This was encouraging. I love reading. And I watch way too many Booktube channels. It's so silly, but I have started to wonder what's wrong with me that I can only read an average of 20 books a year, while so many people boast of at least double that. My best year was 42. But that was unusual. Am I such a slow reader? I am reading all the time! There are books piled everywhere around my apartment! What is wrong with me? But you're right. When I do fly through books, I can't remember what they're about. What's the point? I love reading long books that I savor and live with for weeks or months. When I take my time and read in different settings, I remember things more because I have physical "markers", if that makes sense. I remember reading The Return of the King and crying on the train. I remember going to babysit and it unexpectedly rained and my poor paperback copy of Jane Eyre got soaked and I put it on the kitchen table to dry. I am now remembering my reread of J.I. Packer's Knowing God on the train and during the walk from the train station to the church on Sundays. It works better with physical books, but I'm even starting to get better with ebooks. (I'm actually realizing these things as I am writing this out, so thank you!)

I love that "toaster" contraption!

I am glad I found this comment before I got too far into the video. I'd rather watch the long version. (Time for bed here!) Before I forget, thanks for all your work on it, and to all who agreed to be interviewed. We understand that it's a huge topic. No one expects a fully comprehensive treatment of the issues in 30 minutes, 1 hour, or even several hours!

Finding Nemo was my first thought when I saw y'all swimming, and the turtle! They are so adorable.

An amazing trip! And what a blessing it must be to have such time and memories with your parents! This was a lovely gift. Memories for a lifetime.
6
I love your vids, even when the science goes WHOOSH! over my head.

NOPE! I could not get through it. The glass bridge was scarier than the cliff. Those kids JUMPING on it were about to give me heart attack!

Oh, I love all the personality each train car has! So much more fun than all the cars being generic and looking exactly the same. And how beautiful they all are! It makes me happy that people are able to preserve and utilize them. This was amazing. Thank you to Bill and everyone else that made this possible. And thank you, Mike, for sharing your adventures with us! Hey, do they need to hire anyone to clean the cars? 'Cause I'd happily make the beds, vacuum the floors, wash all the windows, even scrub the bathroom every day, if it meant I could ride it!

The real story here is that something called "kite buggying" exists and no one told me!
3
Aw, y'all were making me all weepy too!

This is ridiculously adorable and I have to find a way to do it someday! OH, THE MINIATURES!
2
AAAAWWW! "That'll do, pig." I adore that movie.
2
OKAY, THAT'S KINDA TERRIFYING. YAY, windows that open! But that wind and that angle - EEK!
2
YAY, OPEN CARS! That's what I'm talkin' about - feeling the wind, smelling the air, basking in the sun, seeing the sights directly and not through a glass barrier!
2
OH, REINDEER!!! I'm gonna be honest. It wasn't until the last 10-15 that I learned that they were real animals. I was never quite sure if they were mythical or not.
2
I know, right? I would love to try this but... I may have to close my eyes at parts. I didn't realize it was that steep.

Oh, the helicopters are so cool! I hate flying in airplanes. And while I'd still be a bit nervous, I think helicopters wouldn't be quite as terrifying for me. Maybe because they don't fly as high and you can more clearly see what you're flying over? And maybe because if you crash you might have a better chance? I don't know. But I would like to try a short flight to see how I would do. Okay, I'd probably still close my eyes at points. But I think I wouldn't hate it as much as I do airplanes. That manor was beautiful!
2
Well, that was kinda terrifying. But I'm glad you had a good time!

I'm American and I didn't know there were hotels like this here! So lovely! Oh, how I'd give anything to be able to travel. Thanks for sharing your journeys. They are saving what's left of my sanity these days.
2
You guys make a great team!

NOOOO! It looks so beautiful but I can't watch right now because I have work to do! * cries *

@trainmountainrailroad (Just seeing this comment.) How cool!

EEEEEEEEE! * flails like Kermit the frog * I honestly didn't know there were steam engine trains still operating until you mentioned it. YES! Open air car! Is there a time limit for how long you can stay there? They'd have to physically drag me out. Man alive, that is close to the edge! I'd be afraid of tipping over. Not to mention dropping my phone. Oh, it's so beautiful! Okay, this is my dream trip. Thank you both! I had a big smile on my face the whole time.

Glad to hear about the hygiene thing!

God's creation is stunning! This has been so fun. Thanks to the whole team! Congrats on 6 years. I haven't been here long so I did not know the background.

YES, OPEN AIR! I would love to take a long train trip, but it never occurred to me that most of the time you're in a closed car. WHAT'S THE POINT?! If I am passing through mountains and snow and lakes, I want to FEEL the wind and smell the air! I'm only a few minutes in and I have to get to sleep. But Dolly is so beautiful! This would be a dream trip for me!
1
So much fun! I wish I could ride one. (Though I'm sure it's super loud / dirty.) I'm glad these types of trains even still exist. And the people who run them! I loved how Greg (?) was saying the switching of the tracks wouldn't be the same if it was all digital. There is something special about the experience of physically moving things. I love the ease of technology. But I think this is something we're losing in our world.

Extra points for the GWtW shoutout!

YAY, windows that open! That's what I always want! Yeah, the end of a trip is always bummer. But, more time to look forward to the next adventure!

She seems so fun!

I know! "DUUUUUUUUUUUDE!" I adore that movie. Squirt is my favorite.
1
Oh, that looks so good! Where can I find me a nice husband to make me chocolate pudding?
1
"Do you watch Formula 1?" "Never." Ha! I appreciated that gentleman's honesty!
1
I had no idea either!
1
THANK YOU. Maybe I'm crazy, but if he said the location, I missed it.
1
It's my dream to take a cross country train trip someday!
1
Imagine those claws getting hold of you? * shudder *

I always assumed the wooden teeth thing was a myth. But I never really looked it up and had no idea dentures even existed back then! WOW!

You two are so cute together. I always wanted to have a brother!
