I sure hope your friend rates the comments because not only should you buy foods like these, you should also practice cooking them and eating them so when the time comes you will know what to expect because most people don't like canned tuna. I myself mostly eat meat&greens, even a little pasta but I still have jars of rice, beans, lentils, quinoa and lots of jars full of dried pasta. Even if you don't have access to making fire if the power went out, as long as you have access to clean water or filtration, you can cover the beans and noodles and rice with enough water to submerge them and let them self for 8 hours and that is the same thing as cooking them for 10 minutes
