It certainly is one thing to pull the trigger which even a child could do, but to hit your target, to be able to scan it, and then to be able to make a fire and cook it without drawing attention will be helpful, but you also have to have clean water to wash the blood off of your hands and to keep yourself someone hydrated because water doesn't hydrate you, electrolytes do

A bow is much more quiet, just like a spear is, then again people don't understand what it means to not draw attention. For instance, I stack precious metals, and a lot of the bigger items are in tubes but when it comes to the 90% stuff they shouldn't be in plastic tubes when they make paper Bank tubes which would be a lot more discreet to travel with amongst hostile markets of people. Even a jewelry bag full of coins makes less noise than a plastic tube after one coin has been removed.
