Because of fractional Reserve lending, the banks have inflated our currency Supply a lot more than the FED ever could, especially when most of that currency is just a number on a screen and the banks would have to pay out better interest to do a better job than the FED ever could to reduce inflation although who wants to pay all of that tax on currency savings when you can just trade it for gold and silver
