Well the debt-ceiling itself is just a joke because the currency can only exist by continuously expanding it because every time you pay it it basically deletes it so. If you borrow $1 into existence but you have to pay it back with interest then you have to borrow another dollar but then that means you have to borrow $2 to pay out those $2 so then you have to borrow $4 to pay out $4
