Well you can enjoy your freedom for sure but some people do see that any business owner that has employees, those employees can feel like slaves, even with having freedom; and all slaves were back then was simply cheap labor, just like all of the illegal immigrants we have today or being used as cheap labor although they also have freedom so wouldn't you say that this country has done really well when it comes to a status of freedom and employees that aren't literal slaves ?

The first legal slave owner in America was a black person who even went to court to fight to have his slaves remain his for the rest of their lives even while the natives enslaved their own people and Africans were seen as the most lucrative version of the slave trade since they were hunted down and captured and sold all over Asia and all over Europe and all over the Americas as well as all over Africa but even the Europeans that came to this land in the 1300 brought their own slaves and their slaves were white people
