  4. Yes, they do fail for a number of reasons, and that one you listed is an easy diagnosis because when the mechanic hits the brake to check for pressure, he feels nothing, and there's a mess on his floor, he knows there's a chance he might have to bleed the cylinder

  9. True but he would have found signs of fluid along the booster the cylinder attaches to. Just like he would have found signs of a stuck caliper with burns on the rotors or a mess on this floor because there's a hole in the brake line and there was absolutely no pressure. If he found nothing wrong, then she was wrong
