Most people were far too involved with survival and passing on genetics, while also teaching the new generation so that again the tribes can survive and live on, it's only after the Industrial Revolution that people have so much free time on their hands to obsess over the way their body looks or some sort of identity crisis that people never had, unless you go to the aristocrats of friends where some of them because they were so wealthy and had so many slaves had the free time on their hands to contemplate things that aren't natural or normal. This whole idea of going from one to another is made up in the head, it's not rooted in signs, it's not rooted in reality nor history, it is made up in the head because of boredom, boredom that leads to mental issues because you aren't providing anything whatsoever for society
