  4. ​ @Columbus1152 it may have democratic practices but a constitutional republic is a republic that is bound by checks and balances where you have three branches in charge of enforcing with the people want. Democracies are easily destroyed by mobs which is why the founders did not set up a democracy, even if they used democratic practices
