  1. The Neanderthals and the Homo Sapiens didn't all line up and scrap to decide who would become the dominant hominid. It was about who could adapt to their environment more efficiently. Humans had lower caloric needs, favored long range hunting tactics that didn't expose them to injury, and better logistical cognition to maintain complex resource distribution networks. If evolution was determined by "who is best at fighting" we'd all be living in the T-Rex Republic (which would be awesome)
