As much as i love the existential birbs, i feel like this video skipped over the explanation of how the event horizon of the expanding universe would create hawking radition waaay to quickly for my monkey brain - I thought hawking radiation was only possible because of the massive gravitational wells surrounding black holes. Would the universal event horizon also generate gravity? Huh? Can someone smarter than me explain this in monkey words?

  4. Its an interesting question, does a person owe their society babies? If the very continuation of a society rests upon that act, then I could see an argument that a person in fact does, and that everyone in that society is also obligated to facilitate and ease that process. That may sound like an extreme claim to some, yet most people are also comfortable with the idea of a military draft when their country faces an existential threat.
