In 2014, about 85% of russians approved occupation of Crimea (according to independent russian sociology company Levada, they have English version of web site). In fact, they all approved start of war with Ukraine and didn't notice it. Quite sure that now at least 50% of russians will say no. They will say yes only to next questions: "Would you rather give Crimea back to Ukraine or send your son\father\husband\go yourself to fight in Ukraine on front line?"

Not all of them are open-minded. As usually, majority of russians prefer to say "i am a small person, i can't do anything". @JNosewicz7569 why do you think that russian president is the only person to blame? How about russian army, that consists of russian citizens? How about russians that voted putin multiple times despite constant aggressive war?

@georgine321 it is spring 2014, at that time there was zero consequences for expressing your thoughts on this topic. This fact is extremely unpleasant for russians, it proves that all russian citizens are responsible by giving positive feedback to russian government on international crime.

@shooster5884 Levada, independent russian sociology company. This company was included into list of "forehein influence agents" by russian government in 2018-2020 (don't remember exact year). So please stop spreading russian propaganda about "innocent russians - hostages of russian government". This particular poll about Crimea in 2014 is valid and adequate. As i already mentioned above, the fact of total approval of Crimea occupation by russians in 2014 is extremely unpleasant for russians since 2022.

@shooster5884 there are two types of russian propaganda: 1) to justify russian aggressive war, it sponsored by russian government and pro-war russians; 2) to promote idea "russians are hostages and only one person - russian president - is to blame for the war" This second type of russian propaganda is spreaded by russian public speakers who oppose current russian government and don't support war. The main goal of this type of propaganda - tell russians sweet lie (instead of bitter truth) to gain political support and to avoid accountabiliy.

4:33 - very noticeable. It is one of the ways how russian propaganda works. One of the tactics, an effective one, it to convince people that it is all about money. Just ignore the war, you are a small man, you can't change anything, it is all about money, people are making money on war etc.

@@JurgenvanGestel-vz9ls the only country in the whole world that consider so called "referendum" legit is russia. Ukraine never approved it and will not approve.

@Muf315 it is direct consequence of russian aggressive war against Ukraine. This attacks on russians will stop only after russians military leaving Ukraine.
