@zollen123 it is typical russian double standard. They study fake soviet-russian history that praises russian empire, consider russian culture and literature as "great" and other cultures are minor. Do you know that in russian-soviet history WW2 has own name and start from 1941 instead of 1939 to avoid initial part when USSR and Germany where allies and invaded Poland? "Educated" russians will say that it was "protection" of Poland from Germany and will deny mass execution of polish POW in USSR during WW2.

Helen R you also forget to mention AIDS spreading (world leadership) due to poverty and forbidden sex education due to flock of religious fanatics. it is totally wrong to say that russian president is the only person to blame. In 2014 about 85% of russian citizens approved occupation of Crimea, in fact it was approval of war with Ukraine.
