  1. In 2014 about 85% of russian approved occupation of Crimea, approved start of war with Ukraine. Current war with Ukraine is pure colonial war, the goal is to re-create russian empire (some sort of soviet union version 2). Due to colonial nature of russian aggression ordinal russian citizens don't want to fight in trenches themself but do want to occupy ex-soviet countries and see own intends in other countries actions.

  2. There is very cool interview of Aleksandr Levinson, known russian sociologist. He said that he and his colleges noticed very alarming thing: educated russians that are progressive part of healthy society at some moment of time become very conservative and role of education plays no role. Same things happened in first half of 20th century in Germany and Italy.
