@spidermonkey28 Nah you dont have to be self absorbed to not understand the appeal of something. I dont understand the appeal to certain types of music and I cant see how other people enjoy simplistic songs that repeat the same line over and over. That doesnt make me self absorbed.

Yes everyone would care. You're saying that now because you're bored. But once you play a wow clone for 1-2 months you get bored and move on to the next one. I've hopped mmos long enough to know this. Im tired of settling for mediocrity. I want something that I will play for years. Good call by riot recognizing the hype they generated was not going to be met by their product.

@99range92def Nah people want dumbed down systems and content. osrs is a very niche type of game for autists who have alot of time and like to grind. the majority of people (in general) play wow/xiv, and the majority of wow/xiv players are casuals who read the story, watch the cutscenes and do easy LFG type content. That's the target audience because that's what most of the monthly sub revenue comes from.

@SoothGAMES ? Your argument makes zero sense. Everything was new at one time. Mobas "reinvented the wheel" when they branched off from RTS. Battle royales reinvented the wheel when they branched off from generic FPS. Terraria reinvented the wheel when it broke off from generic vanilla minecraft survival. Every great modern game evolved from something else. Calling everything cope is just a pessimistic and unimaginative loser mindset that people who've never had any success in life with taking risk and experimentation have. Their new vision might suck, or might be great, the point is that it's not going to settle for a copy of a copy.

@SoothGAMES I know exactly how it works and that is such a short sighted statement. Markets change over time. MMOs are no different, it just takes time because they take so long to develop. But with AI being engrained into development we will most likely start seeing a change in development windows and costs leading to more innovative games and less wow clones. Not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.

If you think it's bad you're poor and jealous of people who've taken the time in their life to make themselves valuable enough to earn disposable income which they can then use on the things they enjoy. If I want to spend 50 grand on a phone game and I have the money to do it then it's no one's business but mine.

you spend the majority of your time making your build and then the gameplay is just teleporting through maps 1shotting your screen for 16 hours a day. I dont get how people can come back to the same gameplay loop every season. and then they only last for a few weeks, figures.

No, the attention generated by losing that income will not generate a net positive return. Casinos just give free money for streamers to play with so they get more advertisment. He is not losing anything here, and when he wins, they will not give him the winnings, he's playing on a set salary. That's how the contracts with these big streamers like xqc/trainwrecks works. It is all fake. They give these streamers fake money to gamble with and then just pay them a salary. Any money lost or won during the gambling session is null. It's just for advertisement purposes. @Limrasson

It's not real money anyways. the casinos just give big streamers fake money to gamble with. Anything won or lost is null. And then they pay them a salary for the advertisement. So whenever you see a streamer "win big" and he's pogging and everyone's pogging in the chat, just remember none of that money was real. It's how they get so many idiots to play their scam games.
