@Blaze-2457 a cops job is de-escalation, and that is part of what he did, so yes.

@The_Catnip different thing, just as reality altering and bad.

this is a failure on free speech actually. he should have not been attacked to begin with. if he was being a nuisance they should have called the police, not body slam him. he had the right to defend himself.
2
@JerdMcLean that quite literally means the same thing, are you serious.
2
He didn't attack anyone though. He was clearly grabbed and thrown first before he took his knife out. He was being a public nuisance yes but that doesnt mean they should have surrounded and attacked him. He had the right to defend himself in this situation.
2
@kitfisto1827 there was no verbal assault, he was being racist and obscene yes but he was attacked first clearly on video. the jury failed on this one

credit for what? physically assaulting someone who is just being a verbal nuisance? he made a dumb choice.

@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 self defense, they surrounded him in a confined space where it was impossible for him to retreat and assaulted him. at that point there is nothing you can do if you fear for your life but protect yourself like he did. people too comfortable being bullies fked around and found out.

@ultimauo that one person is on every mind in america because he's a felon that attempted an insurrection and is now running for president. You would have to be living in a cave for him not to be on your mind.

@dabnotic all of his points were his valid opinion under free speech. you dont have to listen to them if you dont like them, but you cant assault him over it. he was not the aggressor, he defended himself.
1
@SAR0311 That's not how that works. Verbal is verbal, physical is physical. A verbal confrontation is not an excuse to assault someone. You know nothing about the laws if you actually believe this. The moment that guy put his hands on him he committed assault and the self defense was justified. If someone is being a verbal nuisance you ONLY right is to call the police so they can be arrested, you don't get to put your hands on anyone no matter how much their words are hurting your feelings.

@yaboidre5672 You completely made that up. There is nothing he did that "instigated" violence. You dont have the right to put your hands on another person over what opinions they have no matter how much they hurt your feelings. Once he was pushed by the snowflake it became assault and he defended himself.

@ConsciusVeritasVids it's definitely in the requirements and training, it's just that with positions of power you attract people who want to abuse it. this is true throughout police and politics alike.
1
@hockeyguy820 he was being attacked in a confined space with nowhere to retreat while surrounded, he had the right to defend himself with deadly force.
1
@hockeyguy820 he was surrounded in a confined space with nowhere and no way to retreat and being assaulted, he had the right to defend himself.
1
@hockeyguy820 Under a flawed justice system he will. but the person who threatened his life and attacked him is no longer for this world. Was it worth it?
