Had she followed her training the male officer would not have wasted time turning around to look at what she was shouting about. If he heard "GUN" he would have immediately been able to duck for cover.

Clearly this "nutcase" just wanted the police called because he wanted to suicide by cop. No one was ever in any danger, just a mentally unwell guy who decided his life wasnt worth living anymore.

  25.  @bjchit  You have literally no clue what you're talking about. Yelling "hey hey hey" does not give the officer any indication of the imminent danger he is in. HE now has to turn around and look at the suspect which is 1-2 seconds wasted which could be the difference between life or death. If she yells "GUN" he does not need to turn around, he knows immediately to duck behind the car for cover. She did not follow her training protacals. You are inherently wrong, end of discussion, educate yourself.

Yelling "HEY HEY HEY" Is not going to increase it more than yelling "GUN!" And in an ideal scenario the guy hears that and immediately ducks for the car. It doesnt matter how well it would have played out realistically, it matters how well she handled her part in the confrontation. She failed to follow her training, that is all that matters on her part.

As shots had not been fired while she was screeching "HEY HEY HEY." Yeah he forgot not to turn his back, but she also yelled the wrong word and once again *failed to follow her training*. Two things can be true at once. It is not a black and white scenario where 1 person is wrong and 1 person is right. Not once did I ever claim that it was okay for him to turn his back. Regardless of any of that she still do not do a good job by panicking and yelling "HEY HEY HEY." That 1-2 seconds could be the difference between him being shot or not. The fact that he got hit in the vest is purely chance and he is lucky to be alive. Also thats probably the worst argument I've ever read. The concept of him stopping to look at the target after hearing GUN goes against all of their training. That is the entire point of yelling GUN instead of HEY HEY HEY. She did not need to get the assailants attention, she needed to alert her partner of the danger he was in so he at least had a better chance of reacting to the situation more efficiently. It doesnt matter what he may or may not have done. What matters is how she was supposed to prepare and protect him, which in context to what she yelled, she failed to do properly.

Im only stating an objective truth about society. Cause and effect, consequences. Not saying that it's justified, but consequences don't have to be justified to take place.
