@lateshiachilds3640 its not just about losing your job. imagine if there is a hostage you dont know about and you just ignore orders and burst in and he executes all the hostages. that is what cops have to deal with in these situations. the ones outside the door ready to breach with weapons are NOT the ones in charge of tactical information, they simply go in when theyre told to.

@Copper-Sunset youre still not getting the point. the guys with the guns and the armor are not the ones in charge of tactical information. they simply go in when the order is given. what ends up happening anyways is after the fact and cannot be forseen. its easy for you to look at the situation days after it happens but in that moment when theyre standing in the hall they have absolutely no idea whats going inside the room hes barricaded in. if its a hostage situation the people in charge of investigating the call have to verify if its a hostage situation or if theyre outgunned and need to wait for weapons/bullet proof shielding etc. cops never storm an active shooter situation blindly because if they end up getting more people killed due to negligence that is their department on the line.

@Copper-Sunset no they dont all hear 911 calls lmao you really have no clue how law enforcement works. the dispatcher is the only one that hears the call and they broadcast the location and details of what the caller tells them. but the caller is not presumed to know everything about the situation, so the police still have to determine whether its a hostage situation or if they need bullet proof shielding if theyre outgunned.

@Copper-Sunset cops are literally trained not to let their emotions get the better of them. Like i already told you 2-3 times now, and its pathetic that your reading comprehension is so bad that i have to repeat this. They can NOT rush in blindly without the orders to do so because if they get more people killed in a hostage situation then they all lose their badges.
