While you are probably generally correct, I am getting a little tired of all the talk about how Russia and China are doing this or that to "scare the west". This is not unique to this channel which I find interesting and valuable. What I am trying to say is that there is waaaay too much emphasis on the propaganda. This applies even more to China. My sense is that this is a non-specialist area that people can understand, but it is not ultimately decisive. Both Russia and China are the most vulnerable major countries on the planet. They are both dragged down by their innate characteristics. For China it is the very large population and demographics along with poor geography. For Russia it is very large land area and geography. Russia also has the demographic problem. The idea of them "getting together" will not solve their problems. Again, it is the innate characteristics topped off by their failed state models and cultures. The cultural issue is what will lead to their downfall, and this will happen soon.
