This is why I always say that even after the CCP falls, China will not become a democracy with rules and laws that mean something. These counterfeiters are not, as far as I know, state owned enterprises. This is the real China. It is also not new. On one gun related channel the creator talked about all the weapons the Chinese counterfeited during the warlord period after the fall of the Qing dynasty. Some of the copies were good, some were of dubious quality and some outright dangerous. They were paying no royalties and were selling them to other Chinese.
