  1. China is not a great power. It really never has been. It last projected power, successfully, in the 15th century. Later it was humiliated by pathetically small (compared to China) European powers. Even the last dynasty was composed of "foreigners". Perhaps China should do something about the 600 million people existing on 1,000 yuan (about $140) per month within its own borders before spending trillions on a hare-brained geopolitical project. China is becoming old before becoming rich. It has fairly high outward migration and almost no inward migration.

  2. The title says it all. It is a joke. There is no such thing as world governance. The Soviets tried it. Hitler tried it. Now it is China's turn. This is more Marxist-Leninist claptrap. Through the land route of the Belt and Road initiative China wants to recreate the historical Silk Road. What a joke. Review the history. The original Silk Road died because it no could no longer compete. The sea route is stupid, and China does not have the naval resources to secure it. The last time China projected naval power beyond the South China Sea was in the 15th century. It will be no different today.
