A college degree in "tourism management"? This is madness. This is not a topic for a traditional bachelor's degree. This is the type of subject that should be taught in a business vocational school. We would put this in a junior college. It is at most an associate's degree level. This is a problem in the US as well. A lot of the people with student debt in the US have such "useless" degrees. They take on debt that will result in careers that would rarely allow them to pay it back. Even for those that can pay, or did not take out loans, the percentage of people working in fields that had nothing to do with their degree is, I believe, at about the 50% level. Add, on top of that, the issue of needing connections in China and you have a perfect storm of hopelessness.

@jonathanlovesadventure7838 Were they university students? You don't need a university degree to do that. I would also have thought that they would have been learning since at least high school. By the way, one of the issues now is that Xi is restricting English education in the schools.
