  1. The CCP are a bunch of commies. It's in the name. What do they know about raising and managing capital. Financial firms in the west who ignore this fact are opening themselves to potential lawsuits when it all comes crashing down. I have actually seen pundits start to talk about this publicly. I was commenting on it for a while. The west is daft in opening up to countries whose systems are not compatible. The idea that the opening up would nudge these countries towards the western system is a sham. It is not only China and Russia, but all those corrupt regimes in the "global south". During the Cold War (I miss the Cold War) there might have been some justification for such actions. No longer! Disengage, decouple or derisk, but do it now.
