  1. The salaries mentioned for government officials at the beginning of the video seem shockingly low to me. I know people in the US who get more than many of them on Social Security. Salaries of civil servants not being paid? Whatever happened to the "workers' paradise"? I have a financial advisor who said that he hoped that Xi would get a third term. His reasoning and expectation were that Xi would tank the Chinese economy. He, like many, was never a fan of the CCP and their economic policies. Well, it seems he was right.
