  1. People keep mentioning the geopolitical tension between the US and China and tightened export controls by the US. This gives the mistaken impression that it is the US doing something untoward or unilateral. This is a total misrepresentation of the facts. Fact: massive IP theft by Chinese companies, both private and state owned. Fact: massive counterfeiting/copying of everything from luxury goods to military hardware. Fact: The CCP's stated goal to displace the US and remake the world in its own image. Fact: it was the US opening up to China and getting China into the WTO that is responsible for China's rise. Why do you think all that FDI was forthcoming? China does not have the natural resources or geopolitical positioning to challenge the US. It does not have the capability to generate sufficient capital from its internal resources. Now, because of its own policies, it has a demographic disaster on its hands. It also does not seem to have the social resources to progress on its own. This is not the fault of the US, or the west in general. It lies totally with the CCP and its culture of corruption. Don't forget how the last dynasty ended up. That is the fate that awaits China when the CCP dynasty falls. Frankly, China has poisoned its environment so badly and made itself so toxic to the rest of the world that there won't even be anyone interested in invading.
