This trend of laying off older workers is the stupidest thing that could be done. It is the older workers that are both more efficient and that invest the most. Generally, in normal economies, it is workers 50 and older that invest the most and are more aggressive in their investments. This is where a lot of the capital comes from. If the CCP really wanted to encourage "internal circulation" they would put an end to this practice right away. With peoples' wealth from property rapidly disappearing (never to return, by the way) they will need this cohort to generate enough domestic capital.

@kamsunleong6648 He was not talking about returning to the "old China". What you leave out is that under the CCP's "new China" there was also widespread poverty and famine. Frankly, the poverty rate in China should be an embarrassment to the CCP. Most of the poor in the US would be considered middle class in China.
