These are the people who, when the CCP falls, are going to suddenly create a liberal, rule of law democracy? As President Joe likes to say: Come on man! The CCP has ruled almost exclusively through corruption, and this has corrupted the people. Where are the leaders who will effect this transformation? China has no history or experience of democracy, or rule of law. The whole genesis of the CCP involved turning peasants against the landowners with the promise of free stuff. This is also what happened in Russia. Marx would be appalled. He assumed that the revolution would start in the developed nations driven by the industrial proletariat. He was thinking about Germany, the UK and US. Remember the slogan: Workers of the world unite! Not peasants of the world unite. The peasant-based societies would have to get to the stage of industrial proletariat before moving onto the next level. Even Sun Yat-sen's plan called for creating a socialist state and then, perhaps introducing democracy. Nationalism and socialism were his immediate goals, not democracy. The problem is that socialist systems never seem to be able to make that transition.
