Looking at individual restaurants and small chains is not a good indicator. Turnover in the restaurant industry is always massive, even in the best economies. That said, I do believe that China is experiencing a slowdown, especially in domestic consumption. The most relevant indicator is the secondhand restaurant equipment market that you mentioned. Many of the other examples you cite are not necessarily indicative of anything.
