There is also the issue of counterfeits. This spans food as well as the theft of products from established western firms. And what about the counterfeiting of gold? Chinese people are actually poisoning each other. Is this all a directive from the CCP? Not directly. The CCP tolerates it, and their attitudes foster it, but the Chinese people decide to do this as individuals. There are many, many other examples (tofu dreg construction, etc.) that show the true character of the Chinese nation.
