  1. The CCP policy of foreign companies needing to have joint venture partners is coming back to bite them. This policy actually makes it less costly for companies to exit China as the capital lost is less than if it were a fully owned venture. In the US, companies like Honda actually can own the factories without local partners. The plants they are building in the US with partners are not driven by policy. Those plants are being built to service a particular company in the US or Canada.
