  1. Laura, you missed an opportunity to at the beginning of the piece to raise an important issue that people don't talk about enough. The issue is money. Whether you have private or public health systems they are all basically insurance schemes. What is insurance? It is a way to spread the risk and costs. So, if someone is intentionally pursuing an unhealthy lifestyle then that impacts everyone else in the form of higher costs.
