  2.  @giopruneda7266  That is not the point. Those were major geopolitical conflicts in the context of the Soviets wanting to take over the world, much like China today. I lived through the later and have been involved in the systems used to deter the Soviets. So, I don't believe there is any difference. Russia might bluster, but to bring about the destruction of the motherland because of the provision of some jets is not in the cards.

  3. Having our planes and pilots go head to head with the Russians would be of great value. Our record over the last thirty years has been great against the planes. Now lets see how the Russian pilots fare against our best pilots.

  4. Senator Cruz, you mention American jobs associated with energy, and you are correct. What you and all other politicians fail to mention is the taxes and revenue that flows from that oil production. That is more important. Not only would we take away revenue from the dictators, but we would bring it into out treasury. From there it could go to reduce the debt, but to fund research in new technologies. Start talking about that, and maybe you could get some of the "greens' to consider it.
