I have nothing against the LGBT community, but for a mass market retailer or a political party to cater to this community is madness. For a company it smacks of an abrogation of their duty to their shareholders. The LGBT community may be up to 10% of the population. The T is the smaller part of that community. Of the other 90% of the population, a much larger proportion may be offended by some of this stuff. So, the companies are alienating a much larger proportion of the customer base to cater to a community, much of which just wants to be accepted as a part of the wider population. I think there is an opening for shareholder lawsuits. I see this is already happening in the Target case.
