  1. Gifts and toys for kids are mostly wasted. When I walk around the lake behind my house, part of the path is gravel. I will often see kids playing in the gravel. I always say to the parents, why do we buy them toys. At a minimum we can buy them far fewer gifts. The wise men did not smother Jesus with gifts. They each gave one.
