What a bunch of crap, Greg. We have more than enough food to feed people. In the developed world, and some of the developing world, the real problem is obesity. I used to volunteer at a food bank (a deluxe one at that). Many, I would say a majority, we overweight. Many very overweight. And they were coming to a food bank for free food. And they got lots. We received over 2M pounds of food a year, much of it overflow from local supermarkets and restaurants. We bought very little to supplement this. So, worrying about grain production for ethanol is just plain stupid. That land would not be suitable for vegetable production. Most of that land is useful for corn, soybeans and wheat. We produce so much more than we can use, that millions of pounds of these crops are exported to places like China.
